Confused and Almost a Finish

What a busy weekend I had . . .

Lots of cleaning and organizing.  Somehow it's easier to be motivated when the sun is shining.

I talked with both of my kids via telephone.  It's always such a delight to hear what is happening in their lives.  My son turned 23 this weekend and he has sure turned into one handsome young man.

Now onto the confused  . . .  my Christmas Cactus!

26 degrees today and it's starting to bloom.  It does look beautiful though!

My niece and I worked on this quilt last November.  You can see my blog about Alyssa's Quilt here.  She was interested in putting together a quilt so she slept over one weekend and we worked on this together.  She learned how to sew, iron and design.  It's all put together except for the binding which I will work on this week so that I can deliver it to her this weekend.

What a delight to take pictures outside!

Thanks for stopping by!

Oh Spring . . .

Wednesday was a beautiful balmy +17 C

Thursday started out not so bad and by the afternoon it was pouring buckets and buckets of water  . . .

then it turned to this . . .

I was worried about driving to work on Friday morning as you can see the roads look iffy but it wasn't too bad . . .

Thankful to have snow tires still on!

Just noticed that this evergreen tree has a really wonky top . . .

what's up with that??

After taking the snowy pictures I figured that one couldn't go wrong with a nice bowl of homemade Chicken Tortilla Soup and a fresh Pineapple for dessert

Here's hoping that your spring isn't as crazy as ours has been!

Enjoy your weekend!

Elephant Walk

Here is a quilt that I just finished for a very special friend of mine!

Please indulge me - I took lots of pictures.

Here we are - all cut out and ready to sew together.

Sewn together with the two borders on.

Quilted and bound.

I decided to sew the binding on by machine.  This is the third project that I have done this way and again, I love the way it turned out.

Picture of the back.

First one before washing.

After washing.  I love how it gets that warm, cuddly feel to it after it's been washed.
Good enough to wrap a baby up in hugs!

All rolled up and ready to roll on to my dear friends house!

Thanks for taking the time to look at this quilt made with love.
